Situated two minutes from the City centre, Mackay's premier Entertainment and Function Centre offers a diverse range of quality theatrical experiences catering for all tastes. In 2007 the Centre's program offers an exciting diversity of performances. Dance, jazz, blues, illusion, rock, opera, the classics, world music, Latin and drama will provide a 'tantalising assortment". We are also delighted the include dynamic productions by the three major state companies - The Queensland Ballet, the Queensland Orchestra and Opera Queensland. The Centre regular features peformances by international and Australian artists and well as local productions from various Mackay groups including Mackay Choral Society, Mackay Musical Comedy Players. The Auditorium can seat up to 1090 (or 461 in a small configuration) in a single tiered raked structure and is fully equipped with lighting, sound facilities and fly tower.
